My Thoughts on bloglovin.com

Spoiler Alert: I'm obsessed. Okay, no more reason for you to read on, just go to bloglovin.com and make an account. And follow me. And become addicted. Still not sure? Keep reading to learn why I love lovin blogs! (That sounded cooler and catchier in my head... Just go with it.)

What is bloglovin? Bloglovin takes the place of Google Reader, which is what most people use to follow and read their favorite blogs. Unfortunately for us avid blog readers, Google Reader is shutting down in a few days. July 1st, I believe. So, bloglovin is the next (and best) way to keep up with your fave blogs!

Reasons I Love Bloglovin:

1) It's clean. I'm a freak when it comes to a website's design. I like white with a simple, consistent color pattern. Maybe that's just my crazy showing through, but I really do appreciate the pretty face of the site. It's refreshing to log into in the morning and not see black and fuchia glaring you in the face, know what I'm sayin'?

2) It's simple to use. Going off the simplicity of the layout, the site is easy - search for a blog, click the follow button, get access to the blogs most recent posts on your homepage. , I haven't found anything throughout the site that I haven't known what to do about it. A+ for you, Bloglovin!

3) It tracks what posts you've read and haven't read. If you get halfway through a post and then realize you're late to getting off to work or some crazy cat decides to knock all the papers off you printer, you can mark the post read or unread, depending on how far you get. If you come across a post that doesn't quite tickle your fancy, mark that sucker 'read' and keep on chugging.

4) It's a great way to find new blogs. Just head on over to the popular posts tab and discover bloggers you've never heard of and wouldn't if it wasn't for bloglovin. BlogSpot doesn't have this convenient feature and it's definitely a good one for those days when there's absolutely nothing to do. Go on, delve into a pile of thousands of fantastic blogs. Who knows, maybe you'll find a little inspiration for your own posts somewhere.

{It's like those nights spent on tumblr for hours - that hidden part of the internet that only seems to be feasible at 4 am.}

5) There's an app. I have it downloaded on my phone and it's a staple in my morning "what have I missed in the past 6 hours while I was asleep" routine. Scroll through twitter, Instagram, my email and then catch up on some blogs. All before I even open both eyes. Score.

And these are just some of the reasons I love this site. I still need to mess around with it some more, gain some followers, follow some people, you know. But it's not 4 AM yet so just wait..... ;P
